How to fix faulty remote control buttons

If your remote works but has some faulty buttons or you have to press very hard to make it work, the solution is simple: take the case apart and remove the silicone keyboard. Use a hot soldering iron to clean the faulty carbon contacts one by one, brushing them in circles for a couple of seconds. Don’t worry, the keyboard is made out of silicone and will not melt. Your remote will then work as new!
